Slate-Lite brings 100% natural stone to exterior siding in an ultra-thin panel approximately 1/16 in. thick. Instead of installing heavy full-depth stone or complex masonry systems, the lightweight veneer panels can be handled, cut, and fitted using standard jobsite tools.
For U.S. construction, Slate-Lite is particularly well suited for installation over properly detailed ZIP System® sheathing. Once the ZIP System® wall has been completed as a continuous, fully sealed water-resistive barrier, the stone veneer is bonded directly to the clean, dry, and flat surface using professional adhesive. This creates an efficient route to authentic real-stone siding for new homes, renovations, feature elevations, entry areas, and commercial exteriors.

Slate-Lite simplifies the installation of real stone siding from delivery through final detailing. The lightweight sheets can be carried and positioned without cranes or heavy lifting equipment, then cut directly on site using a circular saw, jigsaw, oscillating multi-tool or angle grinder. Window openings, outside corners, transitions and penetrations can be fitted precisely as the installation progresses.
For ZIP System® construction, the wall sheathing must first form a continuous, fully sealed water-resistive barrier. All seams, transitions and penetrations must be properly taped or flashed before the stone veneer is installed. Slate-Lite is then bonded directly to the clean, dry and flat surface, eliminating the need to handle full-depth stone or build a conventional heavy masonry support system.
This reduces jobsite logistics, material handling and installation time while allowing large wall sections to be completed efficiently. The result is genuine real stone siding with a lighter wall build-up, straightforward jobsite cutting and more predictable installation workflows.
