What sizes are Slate-Lite?

How do I care and clean Slate-Lite?

Slate-Lite is generally very easy to care for. However, depending on the application, the appropriate surface protection should be used – especially in areas such as showers, tiled backsplashes, kitchens or other heavily used surfaces. For normal cleaning, a lint-free cloth and clean water are usually sufficient. For heavier soiling, a soft brush or commercially available, non-corrosive household cleaners can also be used. Slate-Lite is compatible with all commercially available, non-corrosive household cleaners. On unsealed or unpainted surfaces – for example, without a 2K or 3K sealant – certain stains can sometimes be treated with grease stain removers, depending on the type of stone. It is always advisable to test on an inconspicuous area first. Outdoors, Slate-Lite can also be cleaned with a pressure washer. Please observe the recommended minimum distance specified by the respective device manufacturer to avoid unnecessarily stressing the natural stone surface; this should also be tested.

How do I install Slate-Lite stone veneers?

Bonding the Slate-Lite stone veneers is incredibly easy:Simply apply the adhesive to the back of the stone sheet or directly to the mounting surface, press the stone veneers into place - DONE!In the following video we will show you how to use our recommended adhesive Slate-Lite Extreme Adhesive .This ready-to-use MS adhesive is easily spread using a B3 notched trowel. Ensure even grooves are formed and do not smooth the adhesive.Then, press the Slate-Lite stone veneer onto the desired spot with light and even pressure or a pressure roller, and that's it!To achieve optimal results, use a spirit level.Adhesive residue on the sheet can be removed with our special cleaners.

On which surfaces do the Slate-Lite stone veneers hold?

Unsere dünnen Steinfurniere sind für fast alle Untergründe geeignet!Sie können unsere Steinfurniere unter anderem problemlos auf diese Untergründe verkleben: Beton, Rigips, Holz, Metall, Fliesen, Putz, Glas etc.Bei "stabilen" Untergründen ist keine besondere Vorbereitung notwendig: Der Untergrund muss lediglich glatt, staubfrei, sauber und trocken sein. Bröckelige Untergründe wie alter, abblätternder Putz oder sich bereits ablösende Tapeten müssen im Vorfeld grundiert werden, um die dauerhafte Verbindung von Kleber zur Wand zu gewährleisten.Zu starke Unebenheiten im Untergrund müssen entweder mit einer Grundierung beigearbeitet oder aber abgeschliffen werden.

What tool do I use to work and cut Slate-Lite?

Cutting our thin stone veneers to size is incredibly easy; almost any standard DIY tool is suitable for this:Whether using a hand-held or table circular saw, jigsaw or multi-tool, you can cut Slate-Lite to the required desired dimensions with millimeter precision.Simply cut the stone sheet from the back using a medium-toothed wood or plastic saw blade.If necessary, lightly sand the cut edge with sandpaper afterwards.Our UltraThin eco+ product range can even be cut with scissors or a cutter thanks to its cotton underside.
